The BWB BIO AV is an offshoot of the well-established BWB BIO, featuring specialized hardware, software, and firmware integrated into the instrument. With a simplified menu structure and enhanced lithium detection, it provides an efficient and user-friendly solution for laboratories. The ability to calibrate and measure Sodium, Potassium, and Lithium simultaneously using the same dilution range (from 1:6 to 1:100) significantly improves workflow efficiency. Additionally, users can define and store two custom calibration curves, allowing convenient measurement of different sample types.

When connected to a PC via the BWB FP-PC app, users can generate PDF and CSV files, create data presentations, and produce detailed reports containing all key analysis data, as well as configure the Automatic Fluid Handling System (AFHS) designed for the BIO range. The software also allows viewing and editing of calibration curves, offering an intuitive and multilingual user experience suitable for all levels. For environments where PC use is restricted, an optional printer provides reliable hard copies for QA and QC, using environmentally friendly ink with a minimum lifespan of 10 years and compatibility with common paper types. To further enhance accuracy and reproducibility, the system offers the option of using Caesium or Lithium as an Internal Reference System (IRS), which compensates for small variations during calibration and measurement.
