BWB’s simple, robust, and reliable Automated Fluid Handling System (AFHS) pairs seamlessly with the acclaimed XP flame photometer to enhance laboratory efficiency. Traditionally, processing tens or even hundreds of samples required manual operation with an operator present for each sample. To address the growing demand for automation, BWB developed the AFHS, providing fast, reliable, and effective automation of the flame photometry process for the first time. At the heart of this system is the new “Auto Read” technology, which ensures tasks are performed accurately, reliably, and autonomously. By intelligently handling input from multiple channel detectors, reading stability is analytically determined, removing the need for subjective user decisions.

The system also integrates a compact, ultra-reliable thermal printer positioned atop the flame photometer to save lab space. This printer uses recycled paper with soy-based ink, has a 10-year shelf life, and is compatible with standard calculator print paper available globally. Optional extras include the BWB autosampler, available for all current flame photometer models, and the operator-configurable autodiluter, capable of performing dilutions from 1:6 to 1:100. Together, these components provide a fully automated, efficient, and environmentally conscious solution for modern flame photometry workflows.
